The Samsthe, together with CMDR and UAS Dharwad, organized a two-day National Seminar on “Indian Knowledge System (Past–Present–Future)” on January 27–28, 2024 — one of the Samsthe’s most significant academic undertakings to date.
Inauguration
The seminar was inaugurated by Union Minister Sri Pralhad Joshi, in the presence of distinguished guests including Dr. Ashok Dalwai and UAS Vice-Chancellor Dr. P. L. Patil.













Thematic Sessions
The conference explored the intersection of traditional wisdom and modern application through five thematic sessions, covering:
- Health and Wellbeing
- Welfare State and Social Science
- Nature–Culture–Agriculture
- A specialized Jnyan Conclave, led by national experts including Prof. Ganti S. Murthy
Research & Institutional Contributions
The seminar was complemented by parallel research paper presentations, institutional case studies such as Arundathi Pathashala, and cultural exchange sessions. In total, the event served as a critical platform for mapping traditional wisdom, resulting in the submission, peer review, and recording of 26 comprehensive Seminar Research Papers.
Participation & Closing
The seminar mobilised more than 800 active participants from across academic and research communities. It concluded with an interactive roadmap session to identify theme-based research groups, followed by a valedictory gathering (Samarop) addressed by IIT Dharwad Director Prof. Venkappayya R. Desai and other academic leaders.
