Date of Visit: July 25, 2026 | Destination: Experimind Labs, Nitte, Parapady, Udupi District
Prepared by: Hrishikesh Kulkarni, Administrative Officer, Dr. MISVS
Accompanied by: Dr. Vikas K., Lecturer, Bapuji Engineering College, Davanagere

Purpose of the Visit

On July 25, 2026, an official visit was conducted to Experimind Labs in Parapady, Udupi district, to explore their educational models and assess potential synergies with the Samsthe’s initiatives in science education and tinkering. The visit was undertaken at the invitation of Mr. Shodhan Moolya, Engineer at Experimind Labs, who facilitated the day’s itinerary. Dr. Vikas K. from Bapuji Engineering College also joined, bringing valuable technical and academic perspective to the discussions.

Demonstrations & Key Observations

The visit began with a session in Experimind Labs’ conference hall, where the team presented a detailed video overview of their vision, design process, and field impact.

This was followed by live product demonstrations, including a close look at two flagship offerings:

  • Prastuti — a hands-on science education module
  • Portable Tinkering Lab — a compact, accessible setup designed to build practical scientific temper and hands-on experimentation skills among students

Strategic Discussions

The visit also included in-depth conversations with the Experimind Labs team on:

  • Need Assessment — how they identify educational gaps and tailor their products to meet the real-world needs of students and educators
  • Future Collaboration — exploring how Experimind’s portable labs and learning models could be integrated into the Samsthe’s upcoming educational programmes to strengthen experiential learning

Next Steps

As a follow-up to the visit, a formal request has been placed with Mr. Shodhan Moolya for an official quotation on the “Prastuti” module, to support internal review and budget planning. Once received, the quotation will be reviewed and a collaborative proposal presented to the Samsthe’s committee for further consideration.

This visit reflects the Samsthe’s ongoing efforts to identify and adopt innovative, hands-on learning tools that align with its mission of strengthening science education at the grassroots level.
