Prof. Alagwadi and Hrishikesh Kulkarni visited the Agastya International Foundation’s Science Centre in Hubballi as part of the Samsthe’s ongoing efforts to explore effective, hands-on models of science education.
The visit left a strong impression, particularly the Centre’s well-equipped Physics, Chemistry, and Biology labs. Equally noteworthy was their robust system for evaluating students’ conceptual growth, along with practical techniques for nurturing innovative young minds — both of which offer a valuable blueprint for the Samsthe’s own initiatives.
The visit also included a productive discussion with Dr. Babitha and Mr. Shivanand regarding a potential collaboration between Agastya International Foundation and the Samsthe.
This visit reflects the Samsthe’s continued commitment to learning from established models of experiential science education, as it works toward building similar hands-on learning opportunities for students in the region.
